Association (NFMHA) for 24 years and the Greater Niagara Baseball Association
(GNBA) for 21 years. He is currently Vice President of the NFMHA (16 years), Vice

increase in participation and minimal increases in registration costs. Many
families around the region have benefitted from his hard work and dedication to
hockey and baseball. In addition, Vito also regularly volunteers with Ontario
Minor Hockey Association and sits on the City of Niagara Falls Recreation

Vito received the George MacPhail Award in 2011, this award recognizes
outstanding volunteer service in recreation to the citizens of Niagara Falls. In 2014
he was presented the Doug Austin Award, which recognizes dedicated volunteers
for service and accomplishments in Niagara Falls sports. The Niagara Falls Review
once named him, “A Volunteer for All Seasons.”

Vito spends 365 days a year working to see Niagara youth happy and engaging in
sports. He prides himself on trying to keep the kids of Niagara Falls active, out of
trouble, and striving for the best versions of themselves, and is thrilled to see that
baseball and hockey are thriving in Niagara Falls.
