Ray McAndrew was a dedicated ambassador who has shown his commitment to sports throughout his entire life. Ray received much recognition and many awards for his role on the Sports Wall of Fame Committee. Ray received a Volunteer Recognition award in 2003 from the City of Niagara Falls as well as for the past twenty two years, Ray McAndrew has been an influential member of the Sports Wall of Fame Committee. As one of the original Committee members, Ray has been involved in inducting 105 athletes, 63 teams and 62 builders being recognized for their contributions and inducted into the Niagara Falls Sports Wall of Fame. Ray McAndrew was also inducted into the Sports Wall of Fame in 1991 as part of the Dynamos Football Club. The Dynamos won the O.R.F.U. Intermediate Championship in 1947, the first provincial title in football for Niagara Falls. Ray gained pleasure in knowing that his contributions to sports in the Niagara area helped enable many athletes the experience of sports he so loved. This love and dedication has led him to a well deserved induction to the Niagara Sports Wall of Fame
