Peter Fiorentino had an exceptional Minor Hockey career while playing for the Niagara Falls Minor Hockey travel teams. Peter played one season with the Niagara Falls Canucks Junior “B” Team, when he was just 16 years old. The following four years he was a stalwart on defence while playing for the Sault Saint Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. The New York Rangers of the National Hockey League selected Peter as their 11th pick in the 1988 draft. His professional career began that same year as a very strong, aggressive, six foot one-inch, 205 pound defenceman. Peter played in the International Hockey League for teams in Denver, Colorado, Flint Michigan and Las Vegas Nevada. Most notably,he had seven illustrious seasons playing for Binghamton, New York in the American Hockey League. While in Binghamton, Peter established records for the most number of games played (421) and most penalty minutes (1,659). He was inducted into Binghamton’s Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003...
