Bob Stewart, or “Doc” as he liked to be called, enjoyed immersing himself in youth sports activities. His Commitment and passion for the game of ice hockey is where he performed exceptionally well. Bob volunteered hundreds of hours of his time over many years as a coach, trainer and administrator for the Stamford and Niagara Falls Minor Hockey Associations, as well as the Canadian Legion House League. Bob was always available to help less fortunate kids find equipment, drive them to the rink and on many occasions provided them with lunch money. He quite often used his home to billet players. Bob had special Communication skills that were required when he accompanied players to disciplinary hearings or when dealing with concerns of coaches and parents. Bob played a lead role in the procedure that led to the amalgamation of the Stamford and Niagara Falls Minor Hockey Associations...
