Toughness, determination, concentration and will power were the character traits displayed by this young man in a sport that requires patience and demands endurance. Justin Burdon had these skills, and they helped him excel at middle distance and cross country running.

Justin Burdon was born on July 27, 1978 in Niagara Falls where he would grow up and attend school. At a young age, he was known as a gifted athlete and he showed talent in the sports of baseball and football. Burdon’s true passion was running. This passion was so strong; he forced himself to give up the other sports in order to pursue the sport he loved and found most successful. Justin was a high school standout, winning four O.S.S.A.A. medals and a number of prestigious cross country races including the Lauren Creek Invitational and the Jesuit McQuid Open Division.

Justin’s accomplishments led to many scholarship offers from several prominent schools. He accepted the proposal from Boston College. Displaying leadership and a competitive drive, Justin was named captain of both the Men’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.

Justin Burdon has forever left his mark as a standout performer in the sport of track and field in Niagara Falls and internationally in the United States.
