Bob Erwin touched the feelings and emotions of many people, during his own high school years and throughout his teaching career at Stamford Collegiate and A.N. Myer High Schools.
Bob was an excellent role model for the young people he taught. He demonstrated great leadership in his quiet and gentle ways, and when students graduated they looked upon him highly, as a teacher who was also a friend.
Coaching football was not only his forte, but a great pleasure for him. Bob coached successful football teams at Stamford
C. V.I. from 1966 to 1970, and at A.N. Myer High School, where he was Athletic Director, from 1970 to 1988. He guided many A. N. Myer High School Teams to Zone Championships. His great contributions in organizing, managing and coaching the Y.M.C.A. Football League, and in helping to operate the Over 30 MUNY Basketball will never be forgotten.
Tragically, an auto accident put and end to Bob's life at age 47, but his memory lives on in his friends and family, and all of the lives he touched so significantly.
