Cataracts Senior Baseball Team 1926

The Niagara Falls Cataracts Senior Baseball Team of 1926 was a very representative team for the 1920 - 30 era when these same Cataracts dominated the Niagara District Senior league winning the league title seven times during this period.
The Cataracts met Merriton and defeated them in a sudden death playoff for the right to meet St. Catharines in the finals. They then defeated St. Catharines in the best of 2 of 3 finals for the league championship.
In quest of further OBA honours, they defeated Hamilton 'Oskies' in two straight games to win the quarter finals but then lost to Windsor-Walkerville 'Chicks' in two straight games in the semi-finals. Many of these players had long and distinguished baseball careers and some were named Niagara District All Stars for this era.
